Shipping several suitcases directly from a hotel can be useful at the end of a holiday. It suits families, groups and travellers who want to continue with less luggage. When there is more than one item, accurate descriptions and clear identification become especially important.
Make an inventory of the luggage
Before booking, count every suitcase and group them by type: small trolleys, medium cases, large cases and any non-standard item. Do not simply enter “three bags” if their sizes are very different. The correct quantity for each format helps produce a more accurate quote.
Give each suitcase a reference
When several people have stayed at the same property, reception must know which luggage to release. Associate each case with a surname, a number or a recognisable description without displaying sensitive information. The reference in the request should match the one known to the hotel.
Decide whether there is one delivery address
The simplest arrangement has one hotel collection and one destination. If the suitcases need to reach different recipients, do not assume they can be handled as a single shipment. Ask for assistance before paying so that each item is linked to the right address.
Agree on a period for collection
Tell the property that several bags will be collected and confirm where they will be stored. Every suitcase must be ready and available; one missing item can complicate the collection. Provide contact details for both the traveller and reception.
Review the summary before paying
- the hotel and collection address;
- the number of suitcases in each category;
- the recipient and complete delivery address;
- telephone contact details;
- any instructions agreed with the property.
If the quantity or measurements change, update the request and recalculate the price. Do not add an extra suitcase at the last minute without reporting it.
One assisted process
Ad Turista coordinates the property, collection and tracked delivery. The form lets you enter different quantities of trolleys, medium cases and large luggage. For unusual requests, contact support before payment so the shipment can be set up correctly.
An organisation example for a family
A family with two trolleys and one large suitcase might use references such as “Rossi family 1–3” and associate each number with the correct format. Reception then has a simple visual check, while the request contains the quantity and destination. If one family member will receive every bag, that person’s name and telephone number should be used for delivery.
When to separate requests
Different destinations, different availability dates or oversized luggage may be clearer as separate requests. Ask how the items will be handled before combining or dividing them. The goal is not to minimise forms at any cost, but to maintain a verifiable connection between each suitcase, the hotel and the recipient until delivery.
